Publisher Description
Change of ownership of privately owned vehicles
Ejerskifte is an app for transferring ownership of a privately owned vehicle without the use of a registration certificate. Both the buyer and seller must have the app installed and log in with NemID/MitID. They can then work together to complete the change of ownership of the vehicle so that the new owner is registered in the Motor Register.
When both the buyer and seller have downloaded the app and logged in with NemID/MitID, the app works as follows:
• The seller sees an overview of their vehicles and chooses to begin re-registering the current vehicle. This creates a code that is given to the buyer.
• The buyer sees an overview of any vehicles they may have and chooses to add a new vehicle. The code received from the seller is then entered and the current vehicle is identified. When the buyer has chosen liability and possibly comprehensive insurance, a fee of DKK 340 is paid for the change of ownership. If the buyer already has an agreement with an insurance company, an insurance certificate number can be entered.
• When the change of ownership has been completed, both the buyer and seller receive a receipt for the transfer that can always be found in the app.
When using Ejerskifte, please note that:
• You must be 17 years of age or older to log in.
• You must have a Danish CPR number.
• If there is debt in the vehicle, this will be taken over by the new owner. Debt in the vehicle can be checked at tinglysning.dk.
• There must be a valid inspection of the vehicle before it can be re-registered.
• It is mandatory to have liability insurance on your vehicle, which is why this is selected in the app.
• The buyer must pay a fee of DKK 340 to complete the change of ownership.
• It is not possible to specify anyone other than yourself as the primary user of the vehicle. It is also not possible to add secondary users or secondary owners. This information can be changed or added in the Motor Register for a fee of DKK 340.
• Once the code has been generated, the buyer has one hour to complete the change of ownership.
